Abstract

  • April 2024, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Southeast Sulawesi Province will be 2.93 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Baubau City at 3.21 percent
  • In April 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Southeast Sulawesi Province will be 2.93 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.78. The highest inflation occurred in Baubau City at 3.21 percent with a CPI of 106.21 and the lowest occurred in Kolaka Regency at 2.45 percent with a CPI of 106.77.
  •  Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 6.66 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.57 percent; health group by 0.45 percent; transportation group by 2.73 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.46 percent; education group of 3.40 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.31 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 2.21 percent. The expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: the clothing and footwear group by 1.09 and the information, communication and financial services group by 0.77 percent. Meanwhile, the housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups did not experience changes/were relatively stable.
  •  Southeast Sulawesi Province experienced month to month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.47 percent and year to date (y-to-d) inflation of 1.26 percent.
