Abstract

In February, combined Year on Year (yoy) inflation for 2 cities in Southeast Sulawesi was 6.23 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Kotabaru at 7.88 percent.
  • The combined inflation rate for the 2 CPI cities month to month (mtm) is -0.36 percent and the year to date (ytd) inflation rate for February 2023 is -0.65 percent.
  • Commodities contributing to yoy inflation include air transportation, gasoline, household fuel, rice, inner-city transportation, filter clove cigarettes, colleges/universities, cooking oil, white cigarettes and cars.
  • Commodities that contributed to the yoy deflation included anchovies, flying fish/enggol fish, cakalang fish/fish scales, moringa leaves, rambe fish, spinach, young papaya, tuna/ambu-ambu fish, cayenne pepper and headscarves/headscarves.
  • In February 2023 there was a combined year-on-year (yoy) year-on-year (yoy) CPI inflation for 2 cities with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 115.10. The highest yoy inflation occurred in Kotabaru at 7.88 percent with a CPI of 120.04 and the lowest occurred in Waingapu at 3.57 percent with a CPI of 112.74.
