Abstract

The Total Fertility Rate (TFR) of Southeast Sulawesi reached 2.57, continuing to decrease but still quite far from the Replacement Level (2.1).
  • The highest birth rate in Southeast Sulawesi according to a certain age group (ASFR) was in the age group 25-29 years with a figure of 142.79. This means that there are 142-143 births per 1,000 women aged 25-29 years.
  • The Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) reached 23.29, meaning that around 23 babies died before they were 1 year old among 1,000 babies born alive in Southeast Sulawesi Province.
  • The lifetime migration of Southeast Sulawesi is 16.47, meaning that around 16-17 people out of 100 residents of Southeast Sulawesi were born in other provinces.
  • Southeast Sulawesi risen migration was 3.06 percent, meaning that there were around 3 people out of 100 residents of Southeast Sulawesi residing in other provinces in the previous 5 years.
  • The prevalence of disability in the population aged 5 years and over who are female (1.58 percent) is higher than that of males (1.38 percent).
  • Residents in Southeast Sulawesi aged 2 years and over use more regional languages in their family (46.66 percent) than in their neighbors/relatives (42.21 percent).
