Abstract

December 2022 Year on Year (yoy) inflation combined for 2 cities in Southeast Sulawesi was 7.39 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Kotabaru at 8.65 percent.

In December 2022 there was a year on year (yoy) combined year-on-year (yoy) CPI inflation for 2 cities with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 115.85. The highest yoy inflation occurred in Kotabaru at 8.65 percent with a CPI of 119.83 and the lowest occurred in Sorong at 3.26 percent with a CPI of 110.95.

The combined inflation rate for the 2 CPI cities month to month (mtm) for December 2022 was 0.75 percent and the year to date (ytd) inflation rate for December 2022 was 7.39 percent.

Commodities that contributed to yoy inflation included air transportation, gasoline, household fuel, inner-city transportation, filter clove cigarettes, rice, cooking oil, cars, colleges/universities and shallots.

Commodities that contributed to the yoy deflation included anchovies, flying fish/bump fish, cayenne pepper, spinach, moringa leaves, cakalang fish/fish scales, young corn/putren, headscarves/veils, rambe fish and red chilies.
