Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi's NTP in February 2022 was recorded at 100.50 or decreased by 0.28 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 100.79.
  • The decrease in NTP was due to the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) decreased by 0.52 percent, higher than the decline in the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) of 0.24 percent.
  • Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
  • The NTP of each subsector is listed as follows: Food Crops Subsector (NTPP) 97.86; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 106.88; People's Plantation Plant Subsector (NTPR) 98.93; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 104.96 and Fisheries Subsector (NTNP) 105.07. Meanwhile, the National NTP Index was 108.83 or increased by 0.15 percent from the previous month of 108.67.
  • In February 2022, nationally 22 provinces experienced an increase in NTP, while the other 12 provinces experienced a decrease in NTP. The highest increase was recorded in Riau Province at 2.50 percent, while the largest decrease was recorded in North Sumatra Province at 0.72 percent.
  • In February 2022, there was a decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Southeast Sulawesi by 0.35 percent due to a decrease in the index value in the food, beverage and tobacco expenditure group.
