Southeast Sulawesi's economy in the second quarter of 2020 experienced a contraction of minus 2.39 percent

Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi's economy in the second quarter of 2020 measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices reached Rp 31.55 trillion and at the base of constant prices in 2010 reached Rp 22.73 trillion.
  • Southeast Sulawesi's economy in the second quarter of 2020 experienced a contraction of minus 2.39 percent (y-on-y) compared to quarter II-2019 of 4.37 percent. From the production side, the highest growth was achieved by the Information and Communication business sector by 10.61 percent. From the expenditure side, achieved by the Export of Goods and Services Components which grew by 11.06 percent.
  • Southeast Sulawesi's economy in the second quarter of 2020 experienced a contraction of minus 0.11 percent (q-to-q) compared to the previous quarter. From the production side, the highest growth was achieved by the Government Administration business field of 8.97 percent. While in terms of expenditure achieved by the Government Consumption Expenditure component which grew by 23.16 percent.
  • Southeast Sulawesi's economy in the first half of 2020 grew 0.88 percent (c-to-c), slowing compared to the first semester of 2019. From the production side, the highest growth was achieved by the Information and Communication business sector by 8.95 percent. While in terms of expenditure achieved by the Export of Goods and Services component which grew by 17.74 percent.
  • In terms of Production, the field of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries is the most dominant contribution to Southeast Sulawesi's GRDP of 25.02 percent. While in terms of expenditure achieved by the Household Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-RT) by 49.76 percent.
