Abstract

  • Inflation Kendari in December 2015, was recorded at 0.51 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) 118.06. Nationally from 82 cities that calculate inflation, all cities recorded inflation, the highest inflation was recorded in the city of Merauke (Papua Province) 2.87 percent and Kupang (NTT Province) 2.67 percent. While the lowest inflation was recorded in the city of Cirebon (West Java) 0.27 percent.
  • Inflation in Kendari recorded due to the rising price index at 1.29 percent foodstuffs; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.72 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco at 0.47 percent; 0.08 percent health as well as transport, communication and financial services 0.03 percent. While the group recorded a negative, namely, clothing 0.50 percent and education, recreation and sport 0.03 percent.
  • Commodities that contributed the biggest inflation rate of electricity; Cayenne pepper; Tomato fruit; banana; red onion; cement; eggs; long eggplant; tomatoes and cigarette filters.
  • Commodities contributing to deflation bloated / puffy; spinach; banding / sponge; blouse women; gold jewelry; Kale; kids clothes suits; baby clothes and moringa leaves.
  • Of the eleven cities on the island of Sulawesi, all cities recorded inflation. The highest inflation was recorded in Palu (Central Sulaweis province) 1.96 percent with CPI of 125.22 and the lowest inflation rate recorded in Watampone (South Sulawesi) 0.47 percent with CPI of 118.49.
  • The inflation rate Kendari calendar year (January to December) 2015 and year-on-year inflation rate (December 2015 against December 2014) respectively by 1.64 percent.
  • The inflation rate of the calendar year (January to December) in 2014 and the inflation rate year on year (December 2014 to December 2014) stood at 7.40 percent.
  • National inflation of 0.96 percent in December 2015, the rate of inflation (January-December 2015) and the inflation rate year on year (December 2015 to December 2014) respectively by 3.35 percent.
