Abstract

  • The Southeast Sulawesi NTP index in August 2013 was 104.69 or decreased 1.28 percent compared to the previous month. The NTP index of each sub-sector was recorded as follows: Food Crops Sub-sector (NTP-P) 81.84; Horticultural Subsector (NTP-H) 117,78; Subsector of Smallholder Plantations (NTP-Pr) 122,16; Livestock Sub-sector (NTP-Pt) 88,43; and Fisheries Sub-sector (NTP-Pi) 108,98. While the National NTP Index of 104.32 or decreased by 0.25 percent.
  •  In August 2013, nationally 4 provinces recorded an increase in the NTP Index and 28 other provinces decreased. The highest increase was recorded in Riau Islands Province by 1.08 percent. The largest decrease was recorded in North Sulawesi and Bengkulu at 1.58 percent. Southeast Sulawesi province is ranked fourth in the decline of the NTP Index.
  •  In August 2013, the rural consumer price index in Southeast Sulawesi rose by 1.71 percent. This happens because of the increase of price index in all consumption groups namely; foodstuffs group 2.82 percent; Food So 0.12 percent; housing 0.40 percent; clothing 0.46 percent; health 0.21 percent; education, recreation and sports 0.38 percent; and Transport and communication 0.39 percent.
