Abstract

  • The total workforce in Southeast Sulawesi in February 2012 reached 1,094,141 people, an increase of 35,142 people (3.32 percent) compared to the August 2011 work force of 1,058,999 people or increased by 29,775 people (2.80 percent) compared to February 2011 at 1,064. 366 people.
  •     The total number of people working in Southeast Sulawesi in February 2012 reached 1,060,235 people, an increase of 33,687 people (3.28 percent) compared to August 2011 of 1,026,548 people or an increase of 42,101 people (4.14 percent) compared to February 2011 amounted to 1,018,134 people.
  •     The rate of open unemployment (TPT) in Southeast Sulawesi in February 2012 reached 3.10 percent, an increase compared to the August 2011 TPT of 3.06 percent and decreased compared to the TPT in February 2011 of 4.34 percent.
  •     ? In the last year (February 2011 + February 2012), almost all sectors experienced an increase in the number of workers, except for industrial sectors, construction sector and mining sector respectively decreased the number of workers 4,649 people (7.04 percent), 858 people (2, 25 percent) and 245 people (2.75 percent).
  • The agricultural sector, the services sector, and the trading sector are the largest contributors to employment in February 2012.
  •  In February 2012 approximately 334,489 people (31.55 percent) worked on formal activities and 725,746 people (68.45 percent) worked on informal activities. Major employment status was 303,119 employees (28.59 percent), followed by family / unpaid worker of 270,102 (25.47 percent), and assisted by unpaid / unpaid laborers of 243,078 (22, 93 percent), while the smallest is trying to assist permanent / paid workers 31,370 people (2.96 percent).
