Abstract

Inflation Kendari City May 2008 2.13 percent
Increase in foodstuffs group price index 5.52 percent.
The increase in the price index of the finished food, beverage, cigarette & tobacco group by 0.13 percent.
An increase in the price index in the housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group by 0.64 percent.
Decrease in the clothing group price index -0.62 percent.
The increase in the Group health price index by 0.95 percent.
An increase in the price index of education, recreation and sports category by 0.04 percent.
Increase in transport group pricing, communications & financial services 1.12 percent
National inflation portrait in May 2008 showed that out of the 45 cities that calculated the CPI, all cities reflected Inflation. The highest inflation occurred in the city of Banda Aceh of 3.78 percent and the lowest occurred in the city of Palangkaraya 0.19 percent.
The inflation rate of Kendari in calendar year 2008 was 5.56 and inflation "year on year" was 10.90 percent (CPI May 2008 compared to May 2007 CPI).
